This is a remote-first position, open to candidates from all over the world. Salary Information: - Target annual salary range: $218,450 - $257,000 USD - Additional benefits include target bonus, target equity, and medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) benefits. Job Title: - Senior Counsel - Security Experience: - with approximately 6-10 years of experience in cybersecurity law. - Previous experience in a regulated e-money/payment services or financial services institution or in a law firm supporting such clients is preferred. - Familiarity with existing and upcoming PSD2/3, Mica, DORA, and other cybersecurity regulations. - Experience dealing with regulators such as the Financial Conduct Authority and Central Bank of Ireland is preferred. Job Duties: - Provide legal guidance and advice to the security team and business executives to ensure compliance with applicable e-money/payment services and financial services laws and regulations. - Advise on the legal and regulatory compliance of new products and services in the cybersecurity space. - Monitor and report on regulatory and policy trends and developments related to digital currency and cybersecurity in Europe and other key international jurisdictions. - Continuously assess operating risks and legal needs to support Coinbase's international business growth. - Manage outside counsel effectively for specific projects and establish strong domain expertise. Job Requirements: - with approximately 6-10 years of experience in cybersecurity law. - Strong familiarity with existing and upcoming PSD2/3, Mica, DORA, and other cybersecurity regulations. - Experience dealing with regulators such as the Financial Conduct Authority and Central Bank of Ireland is preferred. - Ability to manage complex projects and coordinate across multiple time zones. - Proven ability to provide practical legal advice to business executives with limited supervision. - Highly driven and proactive with a focus on continuous improvement. - Comfortable working in a fast-paced, growth-stage environment with high standards for regulatory compliance and operational excellence.
