BDO is currently seeking a Core Tax Services Senior Associate to join our team in Boston, MA. As a Core Tax Services Senior Associate, you will be responsible for managing projects, conducting detailed reviews on tax returns, and identifying potential tax issues for clients. You will also be the main point of contact for clients and may have supervisory responsibilities over Core Tax Services Associates. This is a full-time position with opportunities for advancement and flexible work arrangements.

H2: Manage projects, review tax returns, and identify potential tax issues for clients

Job Duties:

- Manage projects and plan tax processes to ensure quality
- Communicate expectations and procedures to team members
- Conduct detailed reviews on tax returns and raise potential tax issues
- Meet internal deadlines and client expectations for timely delivery of service
- Identify book-to-tax differences and develop budgets for projects
- Conduct research and analyze potential tax issues
- Apply Firm and professional standards for preparation of tax returns
- Prepare tax accrual workpapers and discuss with team members
- Review and prepare footnote disclosures in compliance with ASC 740-10 (FAS 109 and FIN 48)
- Utilize and manage tax software applications
- Draft tax provision memorandums and communicate with Assurance counterparts for tax accrual reviews
- Identify consulting opportunities to reduce client's tax liability
- Gather relevant information for controversy work and document all significant tax positions
- Introduce and develop new ideas to improve client's position
- Mentor and provide performance feedback to Core Tax Services Associates
- Train other team members and effectively delegate work
- Work well in a team environment and follow instructions as directed by Tax Team members

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Statistics (CPA certification preferred)
- 3+ years of relevant tax experience in public accounting or private industry
- Industry expertise in one or more tax specialties preferred
- Basic supervisory experience preferred
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and tax research databases/software

Salary Information:

- California Range: $96,000 - $125,000
- Colorado Range: $80,000 - $100,000
- NYC/Long Island/Westchester Range: $80,000 - $105,000
- Washington Range: $83,000 - $115,000
