PwC, a leading global professional services firm, is seeking a State & Local Tax Manager to join their Income Franchise practice. This role will provide you with the opportunity to help clients solve complex business issues related to business restructuring, adoption of new tax laws, and communicating local tax developments. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting and hold a CPA certification or other relevant tax, technology, or finance credentials.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide guidance to clients on state and local tax laws and regulations
- Assist with assessing client's tax burden and recommending solutions that align with business objectives
- Develop strategies for clients to manage state and local tax burdens and identify opportunities for tax savings
- Work as part of a team to solve complex business issues
- Coach and mentor team members to support their professional development
- Analyze proposals and provide meaningful recommendations
- Use data and insights to inform decision-making
- Uphold ethical and professional standards set by the firm

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- Minimum 4 years of experience in state and local tax services
- CPA certification or other relevant tax, technology, or finance credentials
- Master's degree in Taxation or Political Science preferred
- Thorough knowledge of state and local tax laws and regulations
- Strong technical skills in areas such as FAS 109, unitary filing, and tax research
- Experience in building and maintaining client relationships
- Familiarity with CRM systems
- Knowledge of automation and digitization in a professional services environment
- Experience with alternative fee arrangements and pricing strategies
