Job Overview:

The Mid-Level To Senior Financial Services Litigation Associate Attorney will be responsible for handling a wide range of complex financial services litigation matters. The successful candidate will work closely with partners and clients to provide high-quality legal representation and strategic counsel.

Duties:

  • Represent clients in financial services litigation matters, including securities, banking, investment management, and regulatory compliance disputes.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis to develop case strategies and arguments.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
  • Manage discovery, including drafting and responding to discovery requests, conducting document reviews, and preparing witnesses for deposition.
  • Attend court hearings, arbitrations, mediations, and other proceedings.
  • Provide legal advice and guidance to clients on various legal issues related to financial services litigation.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys, paralegals, and staff to effectively manage cases and meet client needs.
  • Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and industry trends affecting financial services litigation.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Illinois State Bar or ability to waive in.
  • 3+ years of experience practicing financial services litigation at a law firm or in-house legal department.
  • Strong understanding of financial services laws and regulations.
  • Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple complex matters simultaneously.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.
