- Seeking a strategic and creative Multistate Tax professional with experience in solving complex state tax issues

Responsibilities:
- Provide state tax consulting and compliance services to diverse client base in various industries
- Grow technical knowledge in state taxation by working on large complex tax projects
- Access to exceptional resources and opportunities to develop supervisory and leadership skills
- Perform technical review of partnership and corporate state tax returns and work papers
- Coordinate with in-house tax preparation team and clients' tax department
- Review estimated payment and withholding calculations and related filings
- Research state tax legislation and assist with impact on compliance
- Assist with various tax consulting projects including research and writing related to tax planning, restructuring, due diligence, and audit defense
- Assist with engagement workflow management and supervise tax consultants and interns

The Team:
- Deloitte's Multistate Tax Services (MTS) group is the largest State and Local Tax (SALT) practice in the United States
- Over 1,000 professionals nationwide with significant experience in all 50 states
- Services include state income and franchise tax, indirect tax, business restructuring, credits and incentives, sales and use tax outsourcing, excise tax, property tax, state strategic tax review, and state tax controversy

Qualifications:
Required:
- Ability to perform job responsibilities within a hybrid work model
- 3+ years' experience in state income and franchise tax
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field
- One of the following accreditations: CPA, attorney, or Enrolled Agent
- Ability to travel 10% on average

Preferred:
- Advanced degree such as Masters of Tax or JD and/or LLM
- Previous Big 4 or large CPA firm experience
- Supervisory experience
- Excellent research, writing, presentation, and communication skills
- Preparation and review experience of state income and franchise tax returns
- Experience with state tax planning, research, and analysis

Salary and Benefits:
- Wide range of factors considered in compensation decisions
- Estimate of $68,180 to $144,300, not adjusted for geographic location
- Eligibility for discretionary annual incentive program
