Duties:

  • Conduct legal research and analysis related to civil, government investigations, and white-collar criminal defense matters
  • Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents
  • Participate in all phases of litigation, including discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation
  • Assist in conducting internal investigations and responding to government inquiries
  • Provide legal counsel to clients regarding SEC enforcement matters, False Claims Act matters, and Foreign Corrupt Practices Act defense
  • Collaborate with partners and senior attorneys on case strategy and client representation

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience in civil, government investigations, and/or white collar criminal defense
  • Exposure to complex civil litigation and white-collar criminal matters preferred
  • Familiarity with SEC enforcement matters, internal investigations, False Claims Act matters, and/or Foreign Corrupt Practices Act defense is advantageous
  • Strong research and brief writing skills
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school
  • Admission to the Illinois State Bar or eligibility and intent to become admitted
