A law firm is seeking a Junior Data Privacy Associate Attorney to join their team in New York City. The ideal candidate should possess experience with prominent privacy and security frameworks, such as GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA, NIST, or similar frameworks. Additionally, the candidate must preferably be licensed or have the ability to waive in the jurisdiction.

 

Duties:

  • Advise clients on privacy and cybersecurity issues.
  • Provide risk advisory and compliance counseling.
  • Assist with corporate and technology transactions.
  • Handle regulatory or governmental investigations.
  • Participate in cyber incident response.
  • Assist with privacy litigation.

 

Requirements:

  • . degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Bar or ability to waive into the jurisdiction.
  • 1-2 years of experience in privacy and cybersecurity law.
  • Knowledge of GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA, NIST, or similar frameworks.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Any relevant privacy or cybersecurity certifications (., CIPP, CISSP) are a plus.
