New Hampshire Public Defender is seeking to fill several vacancies for the position of Staff Attorney. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to protect and defend the rights and dignity of our clients with courage, compassion, and competency. Our office is committed to providing high-quality representation while serving the distinct needs of our youth and adult indigent clients. As a Staff Attorney, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of clients and cases. You will be responsible for effectively communicating with your clients, spotting and anticipating legal issues, and making sound legal arguments in the courtroom. Successful applicants will be able to work both independently and collaboratively, and will have the opportunity for professional growth and advancement within the organization. Full-time and part-time positions are available, and every Staff Attorney is provided with a range of benefits and resources to support their work. These include a shared legal assistant, investigators and social workers, internal IT support, and state-wide trainings to satisfy annual CLE credits. In addition, you will have access to a Surface Pro Laptop, a digital case management system, a Westlaw account, and a searchable NHPD Practice Guide.
