A law firm is seeking a Mid-Level Private Client Associate Attorney for their Boston, MA location. The successful candidate will join a dynamic team dedicated to providing high-quality legal services in estate planning and administration.

Job Overview:

  • Provide legal counsel and guidance to clients in estate planning, estate, and trust administration matters.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop and implement comprehensive estate plans tailored to each client's needs and objectives.
  • Manage the administration of estates and trusts, ensuring compliance with relevant state and federal laws.

Duties:

  • Draft and review complex estate planning documents, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and advance healthcare directives.
  • Assist clients in asset protection strategies, wealth transfer, and charitable giving.
  • Prepare and file estate tax returns and other necessary documentation.
  • Conduct legal research on tax laws, estate planning strategies, and other relevant legal issues.
  • Communicate effectively with clients to understand their goals and provide personalized legal advice.
  • Represent clients in probate proceedings and other legal matters related to estate administration.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience practicing in estate planning and estate and trust administration.
  • Strong knowledge of state and federal income and estate tax laws.
  • Extensive technical expertise in drafting complex estate plans and preparing estate tax returns.
  • Excellent academic credentials from a reputable law school.
  • Demonstrated client service skills and ability to build rapport with clients.
  • Membership in the Massachusetts (MA) and/or California (CA) Bar is preferred.

Education & Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Massachusetts (MA) and/or California (CA) Bar.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in legal research and writing.
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
