A law firm in Rochester, NY, is seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney. The Litigation Associate Attorney will be an integral part of the firm's legal team, responsible for providing strong communication, legal advocacy, and writing skills. Federal Court experience is preferred, and candidates must hold a New York Bar license.

 

Duties:

  • Conduct thorough legal research on various issues related to litigation cases.
  • Draft and review legal documents such as pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery requests.
  • Participate in trial preparation, including witness preparation and evidence gathering.
  • Attend court hearings, depositions, and client meetings as necessary.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
  • Assist in case management tasks, including organizing and maintaining case files.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys on case strategy and development.

 

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of litigation experience in a legal setting.
  • Admission to the New York State Bar.
  • Strong communication, legal advocacy, and writing skills.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Preferred experience in Federal Court proceedings.

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.

 

Certifications:

New York State Bar admission.

 

Skills:

  • Proficiency in legal research tools and resources.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Familiarity with legal software and Microsoft Office suite.
