A law firm in Chicago is seeking a Commercial Finance Associate Attorney with 5-6 years of solid experience in acquisition financing, agented syndicated secured financings, healthcare financings, and a working knowledge of Article 9 of the UCC. The ideal candidate will have a background in inter-creditor and subordination agreements, with real estate finance experience considered a plus. Strong drafting and negotiating skills, an outgoing personality, and a desire for client contact and deal-making are essential for success in this role.

Duties:

• Handle sophisticated transactional matters related to commercial finance.
• Draft and negotiate inter-creditor and subordination agreements.
• Work on acquisition financing, agented syndicated secured financings, and healthcare financings.
• Collaborate directly with the Practice Group Chair.
• Engage in client contact and deal-making activities.
• Utilize strong drafting and negotiating skills to ensure favorable outcomes.

Requirements:

• 5-6 years of meaningful law firm experience in commercial finance.
• Background in inter-creditor and subordination agreements; real estate finance experience is a plus.
• Strong academic background.
• Large law firm or commercial finance boutique experience preferred.
• IL Bar admission is required, or the ability to become IL barred is strongly preferred.

Education:

Juris Doctor (.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

IL Bar admission or ability to become IL barred.
