A law firm based in Tampa is seeking an Executive Compensation and Employee Benefits Partner with expertise in defined benefit plans, defined contribution plans, 401k plans, and profit-sharing plans. The ideal candidate will possess excellent drafting and communication skills, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively within deadlines. The Executive Compensation and Employee Benefits Partner will be responsible for providing legal counsel and strategic advice to clients on a wide range of executive compensation and employee benefits matters. They will leverage their expertise to draft and review plans, communicate effectively with clients, and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

 

Duties:

  • Provide legal advice and strategic guidance to clients on executive compensation and employee benefits matters.
  • Draft and review various employee benefit plans, including defined benefit plans, defined contribution plans, 401k plans, and profit-sharing plans.
  • Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations governing executive compensation and employee benefits.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys and legal staff to develop innovative solutions to complex legal issues.
  • Manage client relationships and cultivate new business opportunities.
  • Mentor junior attorneys and provide guidance on complex legal matters.
  • Stay updated on developments in executive compensation and employee benefits laws and regulations.

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Florida Bar or in the process of becoming a member.
  • 8+ years of experience practicing in a law firm, with a focus on executive compensation and employee benefits.
  • Strong drafting and communication skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to work effectively within deadlines.
  • Portable book of business is highly preferred.
