## Tax Senior - Financial Services Industries - Mutual Fund Tax Tax and business tax services professionals are in high demand and are essential to the success of financial services companies, including mutual funds. As a Tax Senior, you will be responsible for providing tax compliance and consulting services to Investment Management clients. You will be part of a team of professionals who provide a range of critical services to the Investment Management industry. ### Job Summary The Tax Senior will work within an engagement team and draw on experience in accounting and taxation to provide tax compliance and consulting services to Investment Management clients. Your primary responsibility will be to identify complex tax issues and provide tax analyses for a variety of entities and their affiliates. You will also be responsible for detail-level reviews of tax research, regulated investment company (RIC) tax work papers, financial statement provisions and related tax disclosures and federal and relevant state returns, excise calculations, and RIC compliance tests. Additionally, you will perform tax planning, supervise tax consultants, and attend required Deloitte Tax LLP and sector-specific training. ### Qualifications The ideal candidate for this position will have: - Ability to perform job responsibilities within a hybrid work model that requires US Tax professionals to co-locate in person 2-3 days per week. - 3+ years’ experience providing tax planning services or preparing and reviewing client work papers and income tax returns - Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or other business-related field - Experience working in a fast-paced, team environment - Strong verbal and written communication skills - One of the following accreditations obtained, in process, or willing and able to obtain: - Licensed CPA in state of practice/primary office if eligible to sit for the CPA - If not CPA eligible: - Licensed attorney - Enrolled Agent - Certifications: - Chartered Financial Advisor (CFA) - Certified Financial Planner (CFP) - Demonstrated basic understanding of Subchapter M, financial products, and book to tax adjustments common to regulated investment companies - Ability to travel up to 25%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve Preferred qualifications include: - Advanced degree such as Masters of Tax, JD, and/or LLM - Previous Big 4 or large CPA firm experience ### Compensation The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $63,420 to $144,300.
