Job Title: Tax Senior, Business Tax Services - Tax-Exempt
Salary Range: $63,420 - $144,300 (depending on experience and qualifications)
Experience Level: 3+ years in federal taxation with a focus on tax-exempt organizations

Position Summary:

- Opportunity to work with tax-exempt organizations in a strategic and creative manner
- Focus on federal tax compliance and consulting services for non-profit clients in various industries
- Work with well-rounded technical skills and provide tax analysis for a variety of entities
- Collaborate with an elite group of specialists and a strong support system for success in your role and career

What You'll Do:

- Maintain and develop strong client relationships on various federal tax consulting and compliance engagements
- Advise clients on tax issues including compliance, business restructuring, exemption strategies, and philanthropic and charitable giving planning
- Oversee federal tax compliance and consulting projects for a variety of entities and their affiliates

The Team:

- National team of experienced professionals dedicated to serving non-profit organizations and sophisticated donors
- Cross-functional team of tax, audit, and consulting professionals focused on philanthropic tax advisory services
- Collaboration with colleagues in Consulting, Audit & Assurance, and Advisory on client planning projects

Qualifications:

Required:

- Ability to work in a hybrid model, co-locating in person 2-3 days per week
- 3+ years of experience in federal taxation with a focus on tax-exempt organizations, including 501(c)(3)s and 501(c)(4)s in various industries
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or related field
- Accreditation such as CPA, attorney, enrolled agent, or certifications such as CFA or CFP
- Ability to travel up to 25% for work

Preferred:

- Advanced degree in Tax, JD, or LLM
- Previous experience at a Big 4 or large CPA firm
- Strong understanding and experience with federal tax compliance, analysis, and research
- Familiarity with mergers, acquisitions, and restructuring for tax-exempt organizations
- Excellent research, writing, presentation, and communication skills
- Management experience and strong analytical skills
