A law firm is currently seeking an Employment Litigation Associate Attorney to join their team in Orlando. The ideal candidate will have 4+ years of experience with a strong background in employment law and/or commercial litigation. This position involves defending and litigating a variety of employment-related claims, advising employers on labor and employment issues, and representing clients in legal proceedings. The Employment Litigation Associate Attorney will play a key role in defending clients against employment-related lawsuits, providing strategic counsel on labor and employment laws, and representing employers in various legal forums. The role requires a comprehensive understanding of employment law, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality legal services.

 

Duties:

  • Defend and litigate lawsuits involving a broad range of employment-related claims and agency charges of discrimination.
  • Advise, counsel, and train employers on various employment and labor law issues.
  • Represent employers in court, before administrative agencies, at mediations, and in arbitration in employment matters, including class/collective actions and discrimination, harassment, retaliation, contract, employment tort, data privacy, and non-compete cases.
  • Stay informed about current agency procedures at the state and federal levels.
  • Demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Pay attention to detail and maintain a commitment to excellence.
  • Multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Utilize strong organizational, time management, and project management skills.
  • Uphold professionalism, collegiality, and teamwork.

 

Requirements:

  • JD from an ABA-accredited law school with excellent academic credentials.
  • Current FL Bar admission is in good standing.
  • 4+ years of legal experience, with a strong background in employment law and/or commercial litigation preferred.
  • Understanding of current state and federal agency procedures.
