Job Overview: A law firm is seeking a Health Care Associate Attorney with at least 3 years of relevant corporate contract drafting and negotiation experience. The ideal candidate will have expertise in advising healthcare clients on business, transactional, and regulatory issues, including federal and state regulations, fraud and abuse, licensing, privacy and security, corporate practice of medicine, and other healthcare regulatory matters.

Duties:

  • Draft and negotiate corporate contracts related to health care services focusing on health care systems, hospitals, long-term care facilities, surgery centers, medical practices, physicians, and other providers and vendors in the health care space.
  • Provide legal counsel and guidance to health care clients on business, transactional, and regulatory issues, including fraud and abuse, licensing, privacy and security, corporate practice of medicine, and other healthcare regulatory matters.
  • Handle matters related to joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions, SaaS and software licensing agreements, clinical research, reimbursement, and managed care.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant corporate contract drafting and negotiation experience.
  • Experience advising healthcare clients on business, transactional, and regulatory issues.
  • Strong academic background with a focus on healthcare law.
  • New Jersey Bar admission is required; New York Bar admission is a plus.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Emphasis or coursework in health care law is preferred.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the New Jersey Bar is required.
  • Admission to the New York Bar is a plus.

Skills:

  • Proficient in corporate contract drafting and negotiation.
  • In-depth knowledge of healthcare regulatory issues.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented and able to work independently.
  • Familiarity with joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions, SaaS and software licensing agreements, clinical research, reimbursement, and managed care is a plus.
