Scranton office of a BCG Attorney Search Top Ranked Law Firm seeks an associate attorney with 3-6 years of experience. The candidate will review assigned cases and develop a case strategy. Will identify assignments to be completed. Follow up with the assigned paralegal & ensure deadlines are adhered to. Review discovery responses & edit as necessary. Draft complaints, motions, discovery motions & briefs. Prepare clients/witnesses for depositions. Conduct depositions. Identify experts, provide case information and follow up. Perform research and analysis, as required. Prepare for trial (., pre trial memo, draft questions for witnesses, research witnesses, prepare witnesses). Draft MSJ and MILs. Complete assignments from Partners working on high-profile matters. Develop expertise in Auto, TTX, Premise, Dog Bite, Medical Malpractice/Nursing Home & Prod Liability cases. Other duties as assigned. Licensed to practice in the state of Pennsylvania is required. Licensed to practice in other states is desirable. Should have intermediate/advanced computer skills, with the willingness and ability to become proficient in Needles, Adobe, Westlaw, and/or Lexis/Nexis, and other software as needed. Must be fluent in English - written and spoken. Firm is open to remote work arrangements.
