A dynamic law firm in Fort Lauderdale, FL, seeks an experienced Personal Injury Protection Plaintiff Attorney to manage a significant caseload from inception to post-trial. The ideal candidate will have excellent academic credentials, strong litigation experience, and the ability to bring in business through relationship building.

Duties:

  • Manage a substantial caseload, handling cases from inception to post-trial.
  • Attend hearings, depositions, mediations, and trials.
  • Prepare pleadings, discovery/discovery responses, motions, and other litigation documents.
  • Conduct thorough research and writing for legal matters.
  • Provide timely reports to insurance carriers and clients on case status and ongoing activities.
  • Develop and maintain client relationships through effective communication and relationship-building methods.
  • Travel to various courthouses and other locations as required.

Requirements:

  • Must be a good-standing member of the Florida Bar.
  • Excellent academic credentials are required.
  • 2+ years of experience in personal injury protection litigation.
  • Experience evaluating files for litigation.
  • Strong analytical and research skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent writing, interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to document files in a clear, concise, professional manner.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Adobe, Outlook, Excel, and Westlaw.
  • Ability to follow instructions, resolve conflicts, facilitate conflict resolution, and prioritize tasks.
  • Willingness to market and the ability to bring in business is a must.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Must be a member in good standing of the Florida Bar.

Skills:

  • Strong analytical and research skills.
