Position Summary: As the Senior Director of Wealth Planning at Northwestern Mutual, you will support our financial representatives and their staff by providing expertise in estate planning, business planning, high net worth, and retirement planning markets. You will also be responsible for leading projects and driving company strategy in these areas. Primary Duties and Responsibilities: - Consult with financial representatives and their staff on a daily basis through telephone communications. - Train financial representatives, their staff, and outside centers of influence at various events. - Research and write content for various publications and resources. - Lead projects related to the advanced markets, including estate planning, business planning, high net worth, and retirement planning. - Maintain and grow expertise in tax and legal issues impacting the advanced markets. Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree and JD from an accredited law school. - Must be licensed to practice law in at least one state (Wisconsin not required). - Minimum of ten years of experience in a law firm or financial services firm. - Knowledge and experience in estate planning, business planning, tax planning, high net worth planning, or retirement planning. - Familiarity with financial services products and the Northwestern Mutual distribution system. - Ability to explain complex planning concepts in simple terms through various forms of communication. - Series 6 or 7 license required, or ability to obtain within 120 days of hire. - CLU/ChFC or CFP designation preferred but not required.
