As a corporate claims attorney, you will have the opportunity to work with our auto claims organization and provide legal counsel on a variety of complex claims involving coverage matters, high exposure claims, and highly complex legal issues. This role will also involve overseeing litigation against the company, conducting risk analyses, and providing support for bad faith claims. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the success and protection of our company while also upholding our values of diversity and inclusivity.

Job Responsibilities:

- Partner with the auto claims organization to provide legal advice and consultation on complex claims
- Oversee litigation against the company and assist with the litigation of bad faith claims
- Conduct risk analyses and provide reports to management
- Represent the company at mediation, arbitration, and court proceedings as needed
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and changes in laws and regulations

Qualifications:

- Juris Doctorate degree
- Admission to the bar of at least one state
- Six or more years of legal experience, including complex civil litigation or related corporate experience

Preferred Skills:

- Experience with complex auto insurance coverage
- Knowledge of insurance bad faith and extra-contractual liability
- Strong analytical skills and ability to assess potential outcomes
- Proven ability to collaborate with business partners and understand business goals
- Comprehensive understanding of the litigation process and ability to create effective legal strategies
- Familiarity with coverage analysis in multiple jurisdictions

Salary Information:

- $109,300 - $156,100/year
- Gainshare bonus up to 40% of eligible earnings based on company performance
- Participation in restricted stock units plan

Location:

- Remote work available
- Must be able to support customers in Georgia
- Occasional travel to Progressive offices and other locations for meetings, mediations, and court proceedings
