A law firm in Tallahassee, FL, is seeking an Associate Attorney with a strong interest in environmental and land use law. The ideal candidate should possess a high level of professionalism, initiative, and a desire to pursue business development. Strong analytical, communication, and writing skills are essential, and the candidate must be a member of the Florida Bar. This position is open to candidates with 1-8 years of legal experience.

Duties:

• Conduct legal research and analysis related to environmental and land use law cases.
• Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
• Provide legal counsel and representation to clients in environmental and land use law matters.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop case strategies and provide support on ongoing cases.
• Attend court hearings, depositions, and client meetings.
• Assist in the preparation of trial cases and participate in trial proceedings when necessary.
• Review and interpret legal documents, contracts, and regulations pertaining to environmental and land use issues.
• Stay up-to-date with changes in environmental and land use laws and regulations.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• 1-8 years of legal experience, preferably with a focus on environmental and land use law.
• Membership in good standing with the Florida Bar.
• Strong sense of professionalism, ethics, and integrity.
• Initiative and motivation to actively pursue business development opportunities.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
