Job Overview: A law firm in Woodbury, NY, is seeking an experienced Employment Litigation Associate Attorney to join its team. The ideal candidate will have 4-8 years of employment litigation experience and a strong understanding of discrimination, harassment, wage and hour, and employment contract cases. They should be adept at developing strategies, drafting pleadings, conducting depositions, arguing motions, and working independently. Additionally, the candidate should possess excellent communication skills and be able to provide advice on workplace law issues.

Duties:

• Develop litigation strategy for employment cases, including discrimination, harassment, wage & hour, and employment contract disputes.
• Draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents related to employment litigation.
• Conduct and defend depositions of witnesses.
• Argue motions before state and federal courts.
• Provide counsel on workplace law issues such as employee relations, risk mitigation, ADA accommodations, employment agreements, and policy development.
• Research federal and state employment statutes and case law.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA accredited Law School.
• Admission to the New York State Bar and in good standing.
• 4-8 years of experience in employment litigation.
• Familiarity with federal and state employment statutes.
• Strong academic credentials.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
