Job Duties:
- Develop and deliver global data protection and privacy strategies for client C-suite/board.
- Build cross-culture functionality for clients to operationalize global privacy programs.
- Manage BDO USA team members and collaborate with BDO Member Firms and offshore team members.
- Provide detailed information to clients on various domestic and global privacy laws.
- Comply with BDO’s Quality Risk Management, Data Protection, and other Frameworks.
- Manage and maintain relationships with client professionals.
- Ensure timely and thoughtful responses to client inquiries.
- Build relationships with other BDO professionals and participate in industry events.
- Update customer relationship management for pipeline reporting.
- Review executive reports and provide feedback to team members.
- Develop proposals and respond to RFP/RFI’s.
- Utilize knowledge of client needs to develop project and resource plans.
- Participate in business unit, legal, IT, privacy, and governance interviews and meetings.
- Proofread and edit executive reports.
- Manage BDO client and partner expectations at all levels.
- Mentor team members to ensure consistent work quality.
- Manage multiple large, complex, and potentially long-term engagements and clients.
- Support the Data Protection Officer for clients.
- Develop and manage project budgets.
- Act as a leader and maintain a professional and positive attitude.
- Manage a team of professionals.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Ensure team members are trained on relevant software, tools, and processes.
- Evaluate performance and assist in professional development.
- Deliver periodic performance feedback and complete evaluations.
- Act as a mentor to team members.

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree, required.
- Master’s, Juris Doctorate, or MBA, preferred.

Experience:
- Ten or more years of consulting experience, required.
- Three or more years of data protection or privacy experience, required.
- Experience working with Fortune 500 clients, preferred.
- Five or more years of experience managing large, complex privacy projects, required.

License(s)/Certification(s):
- One or more of the following privacy certifications, required: CIPP/E, CIPP/US, CIPM, CIPT, CDPSE, or other privacy certifications.
- OneTrust, TrustArc, or other privacy enabled technology solutions, preferred.

Software:
- OneTrust, BigID, and other privacy and GRC software.
- Strong Microsoft PowerPoint skills, required.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Visio, required.
- Knowledge of database systems, software development lifecycle, and technology company operations, preferred.
