Director Privacy Officer Advent
The candidate will serve as a focal point for the privacy compliance program. Function as an independent and objective body that reviews, promotes, and evaluates privacy issues/concerns within AdventHealth. The broad scope of interaction with individuals at all levels of the organization: executive leadership, management, staff, medical staff, and third parties, including Federal and state government representatives, and federal, state, and local law enforcement representatives. Oversee and monitor the privacy program. Prepare reports to the Board and the Corporate Responsibility Steering Committee detailing privacy initiatives on a regular basis. Develop, initiate, maintain, and revise policies, procedures, and practices for the privacy program, including the handling of patient data.

Qualification and Experience The candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and/or a Juris Doctor degree or Master’s degree in Health Care Administration or equivalent discipline with 6 years of privacy experience and 5 years of progressive managerial experience. Should preferably have 5 years of experience in a healthcare management position; practical experience in complex, multi-campus health care environment; Certified in Healthcare Privacy Compliance (CHPC) by the Health Care Compliance Association or Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP) by the International Association of Privacy Professionals.
