Summary:

We are seeking an Assistant General Counsel to join our team at a leading construction and engineering firm. This senior-level position will report to the Group General Counsel and be responsible for managing the resolution of various legal matters, including litigation, claims, and government investigations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in litigation and preferably experience in construction law. This is a unique and significant opportunity to work on some of the largest and most high-profile construction projects in North America.

The Assistant General Counsel will be responsible for conducting initial case assessments and providing risk assessments, as well as collaborating with internal and external resources on resolution strategies. They will also lead the strategic management of assigned legal matters and provide training to operations leaders on lessons learned. The successful candidate will have a Juris Doctorate Degree from an accredited law school and be an active member of a state bar association. They should also have at least 10 years of litigation-related legal experience, including first chair trial experience.

We are looking for someone with strong legal analysis and communication skills, as well as creative problem-solving abilities. The ability to work independently and collaboratively in a changing environment is essential. Regular attendance, productivity, and effective communication skills are also required. The base compensation for this position ranges from $275,000 to $310,000, depending on factors such as education, experience, and location.
