Overview:
- Seeking a full-time attorney with a background in insurance defense
- Responsible for handling all aspects of personal injury litigation from initial referral to trial
- Will primarily handle cases in Central New Jersey but may get cases in any county in the state
- Must be able to analyze lawsuits, prepare pleadings, conduct depositions, and attend arbitrations, conferences, motions, and trials
- Must be organized, a team player, and able to handle a high volume of files and out of office appearances
- Must be able to work in a paperless environment

Responsibilities:
- Possess at least 5 years of relevant personal injury automobile negligence experience
- Analyze lawsuits referred from Claims and prepare necessary answers and responsive pleadings
- Communicate with clients in writing and verbally to help them understand the lawsuit process and secure their cooperation in defending them
- Conduct depositions and attend court conferences, arbitrations, motions, and trials
- Participate as trial and/or appellate attorney
- Possess excellent knowledge of rules of evidence and civil procedure
- Possess excellent knowledge of all aspects of Insurance Law, such as coverage questions, UM and UIM coverage, No-Fault, etc.
- Provide legal research and direction to Claims on cases
- Provide legal advice and direction to Claims on cases
- Subrogation and PIP recovery experience a plus
- Work independently in making decisions, file handling, and communicating those decisions to the proper parties
- Strong computer skills with working knowledge of MS Word and Outlook

Qualifications and Education:
- Fully licensed to practice law in New Jersey
- New York or Pennsylvania Bar Admission a plus but not required
