# 2024 Volunteer Summer Law Student Internship Program The Wisconsin Court System is offering first and second-year-law students the opportunity to work as unpaid interns with circuit court judges during the summer. This is a great opportunity for students to gain solid practical experience and to enjoy a summer in Wisconsin with its wonderful weather and recreational opportunities. Students are encouraged to check with their law school to see if credits are available for completing these internships. ## Eligibility The Program is open to first and second-year-law students. ## Application Process The application deadline for the 2024 Volunteer Summer Law Student Internship Program is January 31, 2024. The application should include the following information: - Name - Law School - Current Address - Telephone - Email address - Permanent Address - Dates available for internship - Location desired (see attached map) - First, second, and third choice counties - Preferred court assignment - Interests Applications and a copy of the resume should be emailed to by the application deadline. ## Benefits Although interns are not paid and cannot be reimbursed for expenses incurred in participating, the internships have much to offer. In addition to solid practical experience, students enjoy a summer in Wisconsin where the weather is wonderful and recreational opportunities abound. Students are encouraged to check with their law school to see if credits are available for completing these internships.
