Job Title: Senior Attorney

Job Overview:
A law firm in Austin, TX, is seeking a Senior Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate will have 6+ years of experience in drafting litigation documents, possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, and be able to work independently as well as part of a team. The Senior Attorney will primarily be responsible for reviewing and drafting discovery responses, briefs, motions, and memoranda, with a focus on health care, ERISA, and commercial litigation matters.

Duties:

  • Effectively communicate, verbally and in writing, with clients, lawyers, business professionals, and third parties.
  • Produce deliverables, answer phone calls, and reply to correspondence in an efficient and responsive manner.
  • Provide timely, accurate, and quality work product.
  • Successfully meet deadlines, expectations, and perform work duties as required.
  • Foster positive work relationships.
  • Comply with all firm policies and practices.
  • Engage in both physical and sedentary activity, such as working at a computer for extended periods of time, participating in digital/virtual conference calls, and attending meetings as needed.
  • Perform all other duties, tasks, or projects as assigned.

Requirements:

  • 6+ years of experience with drafting litigation documents, such as motions to dismiss, written discovery, and summary judgment motions in health care, ERISA, and commercial litigation matters.
  • State and federal court experience is a plus.
  • Strong communication, drafting, and interpersonal skills, including the ability to work both independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
  • The ability to multi-task and prioritize is also required.
  • Strong project management skills and attention to detail.
  • Admitted to practice law.

Education & Certifications:

  • 6+ years of experience and admitted to practice law.
  • Strong academic backgrounds from nationally recognized schools.
