The Insurance Tax Manager will be responsible for providing tax services and advice to clients in the insurance industry. This role requires a thorough understanding of both domestic and international insurance tax issues, as well as knowledge of public accounting practices and internal tax departments within insurance companies. The successful candidate will have a degree in accounting and a CPA or bar membership, with at least 4 years of experience in the field. A master's degree is preferred.

The Insurance Tax Manager will also play a key role in helping our Financial Services clients navigate the constantly changing and complex tax environment. This includes managing operational tax risks, understanding the pricing implications of goods and services between related parties, and providing advice on tax implications of deals.

Key responsibilities of the role include:

- Developing a deep understanding of the tax issues affecting the insurance industry, both domestically and internationally.
- Providing tax services and advice to clients in the insurance industry, including tax provision preparation audit and review, and corporate and partnership tax compliance.
- Building and maintaining relationships with clients and the wider community.
- Managing project workflow, budgets, billing, and collections.
- Coaching and mentoring junior staff, providing timely and meaningful feedback.
- Staying up to date with global trends and how they impact clients.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a thorough knowledge of FAS 109, FIN 48, and tax provision preparation audit and review. You should also have experience identifying and addressing client needs, supervising teams, and providing a high level of service to clients.
