Overview:

Rutter’s, a leading company in the convenience store industry, is seeking an Associate General Counsel to provide legal support and expertise to our various companies. In this role, you will focus on real estate development, corporate transactions, and regulatory compliance. We are looking for a self-motivated individual with excellent communication skills and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct legal research and communicate with employees and department managers within the company.
- Represent Rutter’s companies in legal matters before state and local agencies, and work with outside counsel as needed.
- Prepare and negotiate real estate documents, construction contracts, and commercial agreements.
- Develop a deep understanding of Rutter’s companies and their operations in order to assist the company in meeting its overall business goals and objectives.
- Review and analyze local, state, and federal regulations.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Provide updates on legal matters to senior management.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and multiple operating entities.
- Perform legal services as directed.

Qualifications:

- Must be a licensed attorney in Pennsylvania (Maryland and/or West Virginia a plus).
- Minimum of 3 years of experience.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to analyze complex legal issues and provide practical solutions and alternatives.
- Proactive and detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks.
- Strong work ethic and enthusiasm for taking on new projects and responsibilities.
