- Superior Court Law Division, (Civil, Family, and Criminal) - $55,267

Job Description:
- Court Term: August 26, 2024 through August 29, 2025
- Professional law clerk positions available for individuals with strong communication and analytical skills
- Supreme Court law clerks work on complex cases with justices
- Appellate Division law clerks conduct research, analyze legal data, and prepare legal memoranda
- Law clerks for assignment judges learn all aspects of court administration and assist with processing emergent motions
- Trial court law clerks gain practical experience and observe judicial proceedings, attend conferences, and receive training in mediation
- Tax Court law clerks perform similar duties as Appellate Division and trial court clerks

Qualifications:
- Must have graduated from a law school approved by the American Bar Association
- Recent law school graduates (within the last four years)
- Excellent writing and analytical skills
- Completion of a mediation course is helpful

- Appointee must possess a valid driver's license if necessary for the position
- US citizenship is not required, but selected candidates must be authorized to work in the US

- New Jersey residency is required for all newly hired Judiciary employees, but law clerks are exempt during their 53 week term
- Approximately 480 clerkships available, with limited positions in the Supreme Court, Appellate Division, Assignment Judges, Chancery Division, and Tax Court
