New York City office of a BCG Attorney Search Top Ranked Law Firm seeks an associate attorney preferably with 3-6 years of legal experience with private funds work. The candidate will work on a variety of matters related to private funds. Represent fund sponsors in connection with drafting and negotiating documents in connection with the formation of investment funds and compliance matters. Advise on corporate governance matters such as structuring, operations of the client's funds and management companies, succession planning, carried interest arrangements, employee investment programs, marketing arrangements, and limited partner transfers. May also represent institutional investors in connection with primary and secondary investments in private funds. Should preferably have experience working on private investment funds, including spending a substantial amount of such period at a law firm. Experience in the following areas is a plus: advising fund sponsors on compliance and regulatory issues, assisting fund sponsors or investors in secondary transactions, and being familiar with a wide range of alternative investment strategies.
