Job Overview: A law firm in Milwaukee, WI, is seeking a Mid-Level Patent Associate Attorney with at least 2 years of prosecution experience. The ideal candidate should possess a strong background in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Machine Learning, or Robotics. The role involves handling patent analysis, opinions of counsel, and IPRs, emphasizing portfolio management. Additional experience with blockchain, distributed ledgers, video codec, and cloud platforms and computing is advantageous. Admission to the USPTO is a plus.

Duties:

• Conduct patent analysis and provide opinions of counsel.
• Manage and prosecute patents, emphasizing portfolio management.
• Collaborate with the team on inter partes reviews (IPRs).
• Stay updated on industry trends, especially in blockchain, distributed ledgers, video codecs, cloud platforms and computing.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of prosecution experience at a firm or in-house.
• Undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Machine Learning, or Robotics.
• Experience with portfolio management.
• Involvement with patent analysis/opinions of counsel and IPRs is a plus.
• Admission to the USPTO is a plus.

Education:

• Undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Machine Learning, or Robotics.

Certifications:

• Admission to the USPTO is a plus.
