A law firm in Houston is seeking an Energy and Infrastructure Transactions Associate Attorney with a minimum of 3 years of experience to join its Energy, Transportation, and Infrastructure practice. The role involves representing sponsors, developers, investors, financial institutions, and other market participants in renewable and energy transition finance and M&A transactions. The ideal candidate should have experience in project finance and tax equity transactions in the . renewables and power sector and/or energy project development experience, including negotiation of material project agreements (., PPA, EPC, O&M, etc.). Strong interpersonal skills, the ability to manage complex transactions, and comfort with client interaction are essential.

 

Duties:

  • Represent sponsors, developers, investors, financial institutions, and other market participants in renewable and energy transition finance and M&A transactions.
  • Handle project finance and tax equity transactions in the . renewables and power sector.
  • Manage energy project development, including negotiation of material project agreements (PPA, EPC, O&M, etc.).
  • Analyze complex legal issues related to energy and infrastructure transactions.
  • Provide legal advice and counsel to clients.
  • Negotiate and draft transactional documents.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Work collaboratively with legal teams and clients.

 

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in energy and infrastructure transactions.
  • Admission to practice law in TX.
  • Prior law firm experience is required.

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.

 

Certifications:

Admission to practice law in TX.

 

Skills:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Interpersonal skills for managing complex transactions.
