The Property Tax Consultant role in Philadelphia, PA is a full-time position with the opportunity to work with a team of professionals to identify tax savings opportunities for clients. This role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in a related field and relevant work experience, or a Master's degree in a business discipline or JD. The position also requires intermediate knowledge of Microsoft® Office and a valid driver's license. Key Responsibilities: - Identify tax savings opportunities for clients through research, reconciliation of databases, and detailed calculations. - Communicate effectively with clients and taxing authorities on a national basis. - Attend client meetings and property inspections. - Review client property tax records and prepare reports and renditions. - Analyze assessment notices and file appeals as needed. - Determine liability for development projects and work with tax incentive issues for clients. - Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively through written and verbal channels. Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration/Management, Business Computer Information Systems, Economics, Engineering, Entrepreneurship, Finance, International Business, Public Administration, Real Estate, or other relevant degree. Master's in a business discipline or JD preferred. - Minimum of 6 hours of coursework in Accounting, Economics, Real Estate, or Finance with a GPA of or higher. Major GPA of or higher preferred. - Relevant work experience, such as internships or summer positions, preferred. One to three years of audit or tax related experience also considered. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team. - Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft® Office. - Valid driver's license. Work Environment: - Standard indoor working environment. - Occasional long periods of sitting while working at a computer. - Regular interaction with employees and clients in person, via email, and telephone. - Up to 10-20% travel required.
