As a Senior Associate, you will work with a variety of tax-exempt organizations, including colleges and universities, healthcare entities, foundations, and cultural and religious organizations. You will have the opportunity to assist these organizations in achieving measurable results by advising on tax-exempt status, identifying planning opportunities, structuring revenue generating activities, and ensuring compliance with tax requirements. We are seeking a highly motivated individual with a Bachelor's degree and at least 3 years of experience in tax compliance and consulting for not-for-profit organizations. A Juris Doctorate degree is preferred, and candidates must also demonstrate eligibility for CPA or Bar licensure in their respective state. Additional preferred fields of study include Accounting and Taxation. Responsibilities for this role include using feedback and self-reflection to develop personal strengths and address development areas, delegating to others to provide stretch opportunities and coaching to deliver results, demonstrating critical thinking and the ability to solve complex problems, and using a broad range of tools and techniques to extract insights from industry trends. You will also be responsible for reviewing your own work and that of others for quality, accuracy, and relevance, and will need to be able to explain the reasoning behind your choice of tools for a given situation. Additionally, you should be able to seek out and embrace opportunities that expose you to different environments and perspectives, communicate effectively and build quality relationships, and uphold the firm's code of ethics and business conduct.
