Job Overview: A law firm in Houston, TX, is seeking a dedicated Insurance Defense Litigation Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of practical litigation experience, including discovery, depositions, motion practice, and trials. Prior experience in insurance defense and/or jury trial experience is advantageous. The attorney should be highly organized, capable of managing a high-volume caseload, and possess excellent communication and analytical skills.

Duties:

• Handle all aspects of litigation, including discovery, depositions, motion practice, and trials.
• Assist with the management of a high-volume caseload.
• Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
• Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
• Attend hearings, mediations, and settlement conferences as required.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
• Licensed to practice law in the State of Texas.
• 3+ years of practical litigation experience.
• Prior experience in insurance defense and/or jury trial experience is preferred.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical and writing skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Detail-oriented and highly organized.

Education:

• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Must be licensed to practice law in the State of Texas.
