The candidate will be responsible for preparing contracts and pleadings, attending court proceedings in person and online, communicating with clients, formulating legal strategies with other attorneys, negotiating settlements, and reporting directly to partners and other attorneys in the office.

 

Duties:

  • Prepare contracts, pleadings, and other legal documents.
  • Attend court hearings and proceedings, both in person and online.
  • Communicate regularly with clients to provide updates and discuss case strategies.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys in the office to formulate effective legal strategies.
  • Negotiate settlements and resolutions, either independently or with the assistance of mediations.
  • Directly manage relationships with paralegals in the office and clients.
  • Utilize word processing, email, and document management software such as Word, Outlook, and Adobe.

 

Requirements:

  • Florida Bar License Required.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial litigation and debt collection practices.
  • Experience in preparing legal contracts, pleadings, and other documents.
  • Proven ability to effectively negotiate settlements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in word processing, email, and document management software.

 

Education & Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Florida Bar License.
