A law firm in New Windsor is seeking a Litigation Attorney with a minimum of 3 years of recent New York litigation experience. The successful candidate will independently manage a litigation caseload, collaborating with other attorneys and partners on legal matters and effectively communicating with various stakeholders. Independently manage a litigation caseload from the pleading stage to settlement/trial. Collaborate with other attorneys and partners on legal matters. Communicate effectively with Drake Loeb staff, attorneys, clients, litigation vendors, and outside attorneys. Possess a Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited Law School. Licensed to practice law in New York. Specific experience in handling pleading and motion practice, all phases of discovery and settlement; trial experience is preferred. Demonstrate superior oral communication and negotiation skills. Exhibit excellent legal research and writing skills.

 

Duties:

  • Manage all aspects of litigation cases, from pleading through to settlement/trial.
  • Collaborate closely with other attorneys and partners on legal matters.
  • Maintain effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Conducted legal research and drafted various legal documents.
  • Handle pleading and motion practice, all phases of discovery, and settlement negotiations.
  • Demonstrate superior oral communication and negotiation skills.

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited Law School.
  • Licensed to practice law in New York.
  • 3+ years of recent New York litigation experience.

 

Skills:

  • Independently manage a litigation caseload.
