This full-time position offers a competitive salary range of $130,000 to $180,000 annually and is located in Scottsdale, AZ, Hartford, CT, Alpharetta, GA, Chicago, IL, or Chapel Hill, NC.

Position Summary:

The Senior Regulatory Counsel will serve as a trusted advisor to IFG Companies' senior management team, providing guidance, advice, and solutions for compliance and regulatory matters. They will also stay up-to-date on any developing regulatory changes that may impact the company and perform legal research and analysis.

Responsibilities:

- Stay informed of state and federal regulatory changes that may impact IFG Companies
- Conduct legal research and analysis of state insurance statutes, regulations, and bulletins
- Ensure compliance guidance is implemented and action plans are completed in a timely manner
- Develop and oversee training and awareness initiatives related to compliance issues
- Evaluate and respond to Department of Insurance correspondence, market conduct exams, and financial exams
- Oversee statistical and procedural regulatory information requests
- Coordinate and support corporate compliance and governance areas
- Advise on effective controls for monitoring data and privacy laws and compliance requirements
- Liaise with trade organizations on regulatory matters
- Maintain and update corporate books and records
- Manage licensing processes and staff
- Oversee OFAC monitoring process
- Assist with general legal tasks as needed

Requirements:

- JD from an ABA accredited law school
- 8+ years of compliance experience, preferably as in-house counsel for a commercial property and casualty insurance company
- Admitted to practice law in at least one state
- Corporate governance or corporate secretarial experience is a plus

- Ability to work collaboratively with individuals at all levels of the organization

- Thorough understanding of . insurance regulatory and compliance environment
- Clear and concise legal reasoning and judgment
- Strong command of legal, regulatory, and product filing databases and systems
- Working knowledge of ISO CGL, Property and Auto, and AAIS Inland Marine products
