A law firm in Austin, Texas is seeking an Immigration Associate Attorney with 1-2 years of experience, preferably in H2 Visa or PERM matters, to join their team. The ideal candidate will have strong research and writing skills, with the ability to implement and evaluate strategy through thorough legal research and writing.

 

Duties:

  • Implement and evaluate strategy through thorough legal research and writing
  • Assist with drafting and reviewing filings for USCIS and the DOL
  • Strategize responses for RFEs, NODs, and RFIs
  • Communicate with the Senior Paralegal on case movement and strategy
  • Provide direction to paralegals and legal assistants
  • Foster and maintain rapport with clients through effective communication
  • Track time and record worked hours on matters and administrative tasks

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school
  • License to practice law preferred
  • Analytical skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

 

Skills:

  • Strong research and writing skills
  • Ability to implement and evaluate legal strategy
  • Effective communication and rapport-building abilities

 

Experience:

1-2 years of H2 Visa or PERM experience preferred, but general immigration experience will be accepted.
