Job Overview: A law firm is seeking a dedicated and experienced Criminal Defense Associate Attorney to join their team in Reno, NV. The ideal candidate should possess a minimum of 2 years of criminal defense or prosecution experience, including both misdemeanors and felonies in Nevada. Jury trial experience is essential, and the candidate should have strong community ties to the Reno/Sparks area, actively engaging in the Northern Nevada community.

Duties:

• Represent clients in criminal defense matters, including court appearances, hearings, and trials.
• Conduct legal research and prepare legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and briefs.
• Collaborate with clients to build a strong defense strategy and provide legal advice.
• Negotiate plea deals and settlements on behalf of clients when applicable.
• Stay abreast of changes in laws and regulations related to criminal defense.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active membership in the Nevada State Bar.
• Minimum of 2 years of criminal defense or prosecution experience in Nevada.
• Demonstrated experience in jury trials.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active membership in the Nevada State Bar.
