Position Summary

Deloitte is seeking a Tax Senior Manager for their Private Wealth Tax practice, with a focus on serving the specialized needs of ultra-affluent clients such as families with multigenerational wealth, entrepreneurs, family offices, and closely-held business owners. This role will involve providing compliance and consulting services related to individual, fiduciary, partnership, closely-held corporations, estate, and gift tax matters. The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of public accounting experience, with at least 3 years in investment management, or equivalent experience in law firms or industry. This role also requires strong leadership and strategic thinking skills, as well as the ability to co-locate in person 2-3 days per week.

Responsibilities

- Perform high-level reviews of tax research and work papers related to individual, fiduciary, partnership, closely-held corporations, estate, and gift tax matters
- Lead client meetings on compliance and consulting projects, providing solutions to complex tax issues
- Train, mentor, and supervise new and experienced Tax Consultants and Tax Seniors
- Begin taking on lead client-contact roles and billing and profitability analysis on engagements
- Be involved in marketplace eminence building and pursuits

Qualifications

- 8+ years of public accounting experience (at least 3 years in investment management) or equivalent in law firms or industry
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or other business-related field
- Active accreditation such as CPA, licensed attorney, enrolled agent, or certifications such as CFA or CFP
- Experience reviewing partnership and/or trust documents
- Project management experience including scheduling, budgeting, client correspondence, and billing
- Ability to travel up to 25% based on the work and clients served

Preferred Qualifications

- Advanced degree such as MST, MAcc, JD, or LLM
- Prior Big 4 experience
- Knowledge of fund accounting and general ledger accounting
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Excellent research and writing skills

Salary Information

The disclosed salary range for this role is $119,490 to $238,680, taking into account various factors such as skill sets, experience, training, and certifications. Compensation decisions are dependent on individual circumstances, and it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role.
