The ideal candidate will bring 2-5 years of litigation experience, a strong academic record, and a commitment to client service, including a willingness to work on pro bono matters. Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct legal research and analysis on complex litigation issues.
  • Draft, review, and file legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
  • Represent clients in court proceedings, including hearings, trials, and mediations.
  • Develop and implement case strategies in collaboration with senior attorneys and clients.
  • Engage in settlement negotiations and alternative dispute resolution processes.
  • Conducted depositions, prepared witnesses, and managed discovery processes.
  • Provide legal counsel and advice to clients on litigation matters.

Requirements:

  • 2-5 years of litigation experience in a law firm or similar legal setting.
  • Active membership in the Virginia Bar.
  • Proven track record of managing litigation cases from inception to resolution.
  • Strong understanding of Virginia civil procedure and court rules.
  • Exceptional legal research and writing skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Demonstrated commitment to client service and professional ethics.
  • Willingness to participate in pro bono work.

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Membership in good standing with the Virginia Bar.

  • Familiarity with electronic discovery processes and legal technology tools.
