A law firm in Charlotte is seeking a Personal Injury Attorney with 5+ years of personal injury practice experience. The candidate will be responsible for managing all non-priority client files, overseeing case management activities, conducting attorney reviews, attending pre-litigation conferences, handling settlement appointments, and ensuring exceptional client service. Supervisory experience is highly preferred.

 

Job Details:

  • Manage all non-priority client files from assignment date throughout treatment process and until disbursement.
  • Assign cases to Case Managers and conduct attorney reviews of all non-priority cases.
  • Monitor departmental standards and client contact percentage.
  • Communicate with clients to promote world-class client service and help medically manage cases.
  • Supervise Case Management Supervisor and assist with annual reviews for Case Management team members.
  • Attend weekly pre-litigation conferences with litigation attorney to determine case strategies.
  • Review client surveys and address any issues with Case Management Supervisor.
  • Handle escalated calls requiring attorney communication and manage employee issues in collaboration with HR Director.
  • Oversee all aspects of the medical records department and ensure files are reviewed in a timely manner.
  • Review files to determine treatment related to auto accident-induced injuries.
  • Perform settlement appointments regularly and handle all withdrawal and terminations of the pre-litigation department.
  • Strategize ways to improve case value for client benefits and improve time-on-desk metrics.
  • Utilize dashboard reports to analyze files ready for assessment.
  • Handle conversations with adjusters post-settlement and ensure referrals are obtained during disbursement.

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor from an ABA accredited law school
  • Admission in good standing to NC State Bar; admission to SC State Bar a plus
  • Supervisory experience highly preferred
  • Excellent analytical, oral, and written communication skills with attention to detail
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Windows/Office and ability to learn and use various software programs
  • Experience using Litify or other CRM software preferred
  • Bilingual (Spanish) a plus

 

Experience:

5+ years of personal injury practice experience preferred
