Duties:

  • Assist patent attorneys in preparing and prosecuting patent applications.
  • Collaborate with inventors on newly created products.
  • Identify patentable inventions through thorough research.
  • Draft patent applications with the support of the patent team.
  • Track the patent application process from initial filing to granted patent.
  • Conduct regular ability searches to support patent work.
  • Respond to office actions and correspond with the . Patent and Trademark Office.
  • Solve client challenges and respond to client needs.
  • Consistently meet billable hour requirements.
  • Provide suggestions and prioritize day-to-day problems.
  • Share information and keep the team informed about progress and challenges.
  • Give positive and constructive feedback to peers and train new employees.
  • Attend required training and accept planned changes willingly.
  • Work collaboratively as a team member, understanding team goals and diversity and inclusion values.
  • Demonstrate awareness and consistency with the Firm's values.

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in science or engineering.
  • Preferably a Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical, Computer, Mechanical Engineering, or Computer Science.
  • USPTO Registration is required.

 

Experience:

  • 1 year of professional experience.
  • Preferably 2+ years of experience.
