Epiq is currently seeking a Claims Contract Attorney to join our team in Beaverton, OR. This is a full-time position with a competitive salary and benefits package. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in claims analysis work, preferably in the legal claims field, and possess a Bachelor’s degree. As the Complex Claims Lead Attorney, you will be responsible for managing a caseload of 5 or more cases, overseeing 5-10 analysts and attorneys, and providing consultative feedback to all departments involved in class action cases. You will also work closely with Data Services, Client Services, and Claims Services teams to ensure project requirements are met and best practices are followed. Responsibilities:

Manage a caseload of 5 or more cases and oversee the accurate administration of these cases, including processing, correspondence, and phone projects.
Provide consultative feedback to all departments involved in class action cases, including Data Services, Client Services, and Claims Services.
Investigate client and internal customer complaints, concerns, and non-conformance issues and relay them to the client as needed.
Conduct risk analysis and monitor quality to ensure the highest level of claimant service.
Maintain a working knowledge of technical concepts related to processing support software.
Develop proficiency with claims and correspondence processing and best practices for escalation support.
Enhance department and organization reputation by taking ownership for quality and accuracy of output.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred; Paralegal experience or other legal experience preferred.
2+ years of experience in claims analysis work; legal claims preferred.
Excellent leadership skills and ability to effectively communicate with different audiences.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
Ability to navigate ambiguity and work through the unknown strategically.
Highly organized and able to prioritize tasks effectively.
Experience with troubleshooting and data interpretation.
Familiarity with proprietary software and ability to learn new tools quickly.
Vision for long-term change and ability to execute short-term goals.
