A law firm in San Diego is seeking a seasoned Labor and Employment Attorney with a focus on advice and counseling. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 7 years of experience providing legal advice to California employers on a broad spectrum of labor and employment matters.

 

Duties:

  • Provide legal advice and counsel to clients on a diverse range of labor and employment issues.
  • Draft employment policies, employment agreements, and severance/settlement agreements.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis on labor and employment matters for multi-state employers.
  • Represent clients in agency proceedings, including CCRD, EEOC, Labor Commissioner, and Cal-OSHA.
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships.

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Bar in the state of California.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in labor and employment law.
  • Strong understanding of state and federal employment laws, including California-specific regulations.

 

Skills:

  • In-depth knowledge of California labor and employment laws and regulations.
  • Experience advising employers on discipline, discharge, and responding to employee complaints.
  • Proficiency in drafting employer policies, employment agreements, and separation/severance agreements.
  • Excellent legal research and writing skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
