A law firm in Alexandria, Virginia, is seeking a highly skilled Litigation Associate Attorney with 3-7 years of experience. The ideal candidate should possess superior legal writing and research abilities, exceptional client service skills, and a strong desire to take a lead role in case handling. Bar admission in DC and/or Maryland is preferred, and immediate first-chair experience in all aspects of case management, including depositions, motions practice, settlement negotiations, and trials in state and federal courts in DC, Maryland, and Virginia, is highly desirable.

 

Duties:

  • Conduct legal research and analysis to support case strategy and legal arguments.
  • Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
  • Participate in and conduct depositions, hearings, and trials.
  • Manage case files and maintain organized records of case developments.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and partners in case strategy and client representation.
  • Provide exceptional client service by maintaining regular communication and addressing client concerns.
  • Stay updated on relevant legal developments and changes in laws and regulations.

 

Requirements:

  • Bar admission in DC and/or Maryland (preferred).
  • 3-7 years of litigation experience.
  • Proven first-chair experience in case management.
  • Exceptional legal writing and research skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (.) from an accredited law school.
