The candidate will negotiate and prepare a wide variety of intellectual property-related agreements, including licenses, assignments, security agreements, development agreements, consulting agreements, sales, distribution and supply agreements, reseller agreements, software and multimedia licenses, confidentiality agreements, inventor's rights agreements, and online application and database service provider agreements. Intellectual property clearance, registration and protection strategies. Protection and enforcement of rights pertaining to trademarks, business names, domain names, copyrights, inventions (whether patentable or not), trade secrets, rights of publicity, and employer/employee proprietary rights. Screen and select trademarks and handle the development of trademark protection strategies, including domestic and foreign registration of marks. Manage intellectual property due diligence. Perform due diligence investigations on intellectual property assets. Must preferably have experience prosecuting intellectual property matters and experience licensing intellectual property rights. Must be a member or pending member of the California State Bar.
